Jonas Brothers Book Tag

Hi so this is completely stolen from the amazing Morrisa. I have been listening to “Sucker” non-stop since it came out, so I was super stoked when I saw this tag. Morrisa did her tag as a YouTube video, but I figure this will work just as well. Enjoyyyy 🙂

 

1. S.O.S – a book or series that broke your heart
   • The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller
     • oh man did this book mess me UP! Even though I’ve read it like five times now, I still cry every time I read it. Going in, I knew the story of the Illiad, yet I was still shocked when it ended the same way lol. 10/10 will break your heart but you’ll be happy about it.
2. That’s Just the Way We Roll – a book or series with an unusual, rag tag cast of characters that actually work really well together
   • The Foxhole Court by Nora Sakavic
     • The Foxhole Court (aka the first in the All for the Game series) is one of the most underrated books I’ve ever read. Ten damaged kids with all sorts of issues and crappy pasts are on the same sports team. But, they make it work… eventually.
3. Just Friends – your favorite book or series with a best friends to lovers plot
   • Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
     • My all time favorite book, this one was a must. Anna and Etienne foreverrrrrrr!
4. Burnin’ Up – a book with steamy romance
5. Shelf – a book or series that’s been on your shelf for ages but you still haven’t read yet
   • This Adventure Ends by Emma Miller
     • I literally bought this book because the cover was so pretty. The book itself sounds interesting, but I always forget that it’s more than decoration.
6. Sorry – a book or series that you tried to love but just couldn’t
   • Legend by Marie Lu
     • All of my friends read Legend the second it came into our library I don’t even know how many years ago. Ever since then, they all have eagerly awaited each new release in the series. I read “Legend”, and even gave “Prodigy” a chance, but I just can’t get into it. Sorry!
7. A Little Bit Longer – a series or book you’ve been waiting forever to come out
   • Kiera Cass’ next book?
     • It’s been like four years since I’ve had new Kiera Cass content but I’m still holding on. She’s gotta release something eventually…
8. World War III – favorite book or series with an enemies to lovers plot
   • Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi
     • I honestly haven’t read much enemies to lovers (if anyone wants to rec me some that’d be cool) but I am a huge warnette shipper. @ Tahereh please let them be happy in Defy Me.
9. Much Better – a sequel or companion series that was much better than the first or original
   • Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
     • I’m pretty sure this counts as a companion to the Grisha trilogy? I read the duology first and was blown away, then I went back and read the trilogy and suddenly things made a lot more sense. But neither the trilogy nor “King of Scars” hits me the way SoC does.
10. Poison Ivy – a book or series that you hate to love
    • The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare
      • William Herondale is amazing and you can’t change my mind.
11. Sucker – a book/author/series that you’re a sucker for
    • Becky Albertalli
      • Ever since Becky announced Upside of Unrequited, I’ve been a huge fan. Then the novel came out and it’s honestly in my top five favorite books of all time. From that day, I’ve read everything she’s released, from books to tweets. The second she announces another book, I’m gonna preorder.
12. Gotta Find You – a specific edition or book that you’re on the lookout for
    • ARC of Anna and the French Kiss 
      • I’ve looked everywhere for one with no luck. It’s the only US edition of the book that I don’t own and it haunts me.
